Date: March 11, 2009A Second Chance: Living to tell the story
Dan McMurdie, Construction Specialty Services Program Manager for the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and the Department of Labor and Industries (L&I), survived a life threatening heart attack one year ago. His wife performed CPR and saved his life. Dan's presentation is an account of his ordeal and underscores the importance of CPR at the workplace and at home.
Testimony from an injured worker
Jim Voss, a specialty compliance inspector in the High Voltage group in the Construction Specialty Services Program, will share his experience in the high voltage industry prior to going to work for L&I. Jim had an unfortunate accident when he came into contact with high voltage on the job. This presentation helps instruct all of us on the importance of safety and is proof that one misstep or shortcut could be our last.
