Safety & Environmental Manager
will provide leadership in the strengthening of our growing injury-free culture. Leads the organizationâï¿½ï¿½s safety and compliance with local, state, and federal agencies; complies with all environmental regulations. Plans, develops, and implements Safety & Environmental programs by providing technical assistance in the identification,evaluation, and control of workplace hazards. Assists in evaluating risks associated with new project opportunities or processes.
Bachelorâï¿½ï¿½s degree in environmental, safety or related experience preferred.
2-5 years of experience in general construction with emphasis on oil/gas, maritime construction,rnheavy civil construction, and/or industrial safety a plus.
Understanding of applicable federal, state, local standards as well as proficiency in applying themrnto construction projects.rnKnowledge of oil and gas safety protocols preferred.rnExperience training in both classroom and construction site environments.rnKnowledge in managing Workerâï¿½ï¿½s Compensation and Insurance Claim Issues.rnKnowledge of OSHA CFR 1926, 1915, and 1910 Standards.rnBehavioral-based safety principles and practices.rnRisk Management loss prevention methods.
