Achieving VPP
Date: April 11, 2007Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) are designed to recognize and promote effective safety and health program management. In the VPP, management, labor and WISHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented strong programs. The VPP concept recognizes that the objectives of the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act can never be fully achieved by enforcement alone. Safety and health management programs that go beyond WISHA standards can protect workers more effectively.
