New Smart Executive Director
Date: June 30, 2010The Smart Association announces the hiring of Margie Weinberg as their new executive director.
Margie comes to us with a broad background in safety and health.
She has been a Board member of the SMART Association, for over 8 years.
Formerly Margie was employed with the Washington State non-profit Building Trades Labor-Management organization for 5+ years in the capacity of Safety and Health Specialist.
Also previously, she was employed as Executive Director of the Washington Self-Insurers, where she advocated for members, managed membership benefits, programs, and other operational duties. Margie began her career at Howard S Wright Construction in safety, employee relations, workers compensation and risk management.
Her key insights, management skills, and successes, as well as her track record of commitment to safety and health, will greatly benefit the SMART Association as we enhance current programs and services, and look toward the future to expand benefits and programs to meet our growing membership’s needs.
