Governor's Annual Lifesaving Awards Nominations

On June 18, 2009, the Washington State Department of Labor and Inudstries (L&I) announced that the Governor's Industrial Safety and Health Advisory Board is accepting nominations for the governor's annual lifesaving awards.

Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2009.

All Washington workers covered by the worker's compensation system or a self-insured employer are eligible for the lifesaving nomination. The heroic act must have taken place between July 1, 2008, and June 30, 2009, any day or time, anywhere in the world.

The nominee must have performed "hands-on" aid in saving a life. Award recipients will be featured guests at the 58th Governor's Industrial Safety and Health Conference held October 7-8 in Tacoma.
