Job Title
Safety Officer (Ambulatory)

Job Responsibilities
The Ambulatory Safety Officer works collaboratively with the Safety Manager in assuring a safe and secure environment is maintained and that all safety policies are met according to national, state, local, and JCAHO requirements. This position works primarily in outpatient (ambulatory) facilities within MultiCare Health System.

Education Requirements
Associates degree in Safety preferred. Certified in Industrial/Occupational Safety preferred. Successful completion of IAHSS Safety Training program and receipt of certification through the International Association for Hospital Security and Safety Foundation within the first 90 days of employment required. Must successfully complete the IAHSS Certified Supervisory & Safety Program. Capable of successful completion of Hazardous Material/Waste Management Operations (HAZWOPER) technician level.

Work Experience
One to three years safety experience required.
