Defensive Driving
Instructor: Jerry CarrierRoadway crashes are the leading cause of death for workers in clerical and professional specialty jobs, and the second-leading cause for executives, sales workers, and technicians.* This course is a must for any organization that depends on good employee drivers to compete in today's busy workplace.
Course participants learn:
- General statistics
- The three elements of an accident or crash
- How a vehicle and equipment contributes to crashes
- The driver's control over conditions
- How a driver can compensate for external conditions
- The effect an organization's culture, leadership, policies and supervision have on vehicle crashes
- How to analyze vehicle crash information
Emphasis is placed on the driver's responsibility regarding safe driving behavior as well as the organization's role in keeping their drivers safe and well trained.
