Communication Strategies: Lacey
Instructor: Ermelindo EscobedoThis one-day class is designed to help you improve your interactions with other people in your workplace or home. We will focus on helping you understand your communication style and how your style may differ from that of your co-workers. You will learn about the strengths and challenges of the different styles, as well as how to "flex" your style to work effectively with differing styles. In addition, you will learn about active listening, asking questions and being aware of nonverbal messages that will enhance your ability to communicate effectively in both work and personal situations.
Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Determine their communication style
- Understand the strengths and challenges of the different communication styles
- Identify how to flex their communication style to work effectively with different styles
- Develop and practice listening skills that really work
- Learn how to apply the knowledge and skills to a wide variety of communication situations
- Learn what nonverbal message you are telling others
- Enhance your ability to handle difficult situations
