Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead Training (CESCL)

Instructor: Phil Fortunato, ECO-3 approved DOE Trainer

If your construction site is part of a 1-acre or larger site, you will be required by DOE and WSDOT to have an erosion control supervisor on-site and provide monthly stormwater monitoring reports. Meet this requirement with our certified erosion and sediment control lead training (CESCL) program. Topics covered include:

  • Erosion control planning
  • DOE approved Source Control BMPs
  • Approved for WSDOT Contractors
  • Infiltration and dispersal methods
  • Spill prevention planning
  • Administrative recordkeeping
  • Practical application erosion inspection review
  • Construction stormwater pollution prevention plan
  • Stormwater discharge monitoring and reporting

This is a two-day classroom and field trip course which focuses on erosion control for the construction industry. Each attendee will be registered with the Department of Ecology and be issued a numbered certificate and the certification card required for on-site Certified Erosion Control Supervisors. Certification valid for 3 years.

Department of Transportation
Port of Seattle

Students must dress for jobsite visit at the end of  the first day.
Bring hard hats, vests, and safety gear.
